Ben and Jerry's: Netflix and Chill'd Aims and objectives Ben and Jerry's teamed up with Netflix to create a new ice cream flavour called Netflix and Chill'd. The flavour is a a combination of peanut butter with pretzel swirls and fudge brownie chunks and was introduced to the market in January 2020. The objective of this product is to sell a pint of ice cream to a customer which they can eat while binge watching shows on Netflix. In addition, this a way for Ben and Jerry’s to gain brand exposure by working with a popular company like Netflix and vice versa.  Target audience This product is for the mainstream audience because Ben and Jerry's is a product that the succeeder wouldn't be interested in purchasing. Mainstreamers- Follow popular trends. Explorers- Driven my a need for discovery and challenge. Reformers- Anti materialistic  Aspirers- Somebody who wants to be wealthy, enjoy status. Strugglers- Live for everyday, sometimes they are dependant on alcohol, cigarettes and fast food.  Succeeders- A very confident person, they seek reward to show they have made it in life. Resigned- Puts up with their lotting life, they like security (The elderly or retired). Ideology- Communitcates ideas, values and beliefs. Many brands we look carry this ideology of domesticity, the traditional family. The main purposes of advertising

Create awareness- To inform and educate about a new commercial product- NHS, Tramlines, Rimmel Introduced new products to the market- E.g. Coca Cola constantly have new bottles and flavours of coke Increase sales- To do deals and offers. Convince the consumer that they need the product. Hierarchy of needs- Heinz new product to target a new audience.  Rebranding and existing product- Changing the look and identity of an existing product. Values change. Generate feedback- Want to know what the audience thinks about the product. Companies want to boat how many people like their products.
